How the visit time is displayed in the application and on the server
When visiting stores, Eyrene uses two types of time - server time and application time.
App time is the time when the user presses the button to start/end the visit. The time is displayed according to the device clock.
Server time is the time when the server received data from the application that the visit was started/ended.
On the Eyrene portal, you can view them both in the About the visit section in Visit:
- Visit started at (server time) - visit start time by server clock;
- Visit closed at (server time) - visit end time by server clock;
- Visit started at (app time) - start time of the visit according to the clock of the employee's mobile device;
- Visit closed at (app time) - end time of the visit according to the hours of the employee's mobile device.
Note
Server and application times can differ by a few seconds or minutes. This is due to a delay in the transfer of data from the application to the server, for example, due to unstable Internet.
In addition, the mobile employee is in a different time zone, the time on the portal may differ by several hours. This is due to the fact that the time on the portal is displayed according to the browser's time zone and usually coincides with the system time.
